Pre-Wedding Skincare Countdown for Glowing Skin

A realistic 6-month skincare and body-care countdown for a natural pre-wedding glow.

Great wedding makeup starts with healthy, hydrated skin. The key is consistency, not last-minute miracles — so start early and keep things gentle.

6 months before

  • Settle into a simple routine: cleanse, treat, moisturise and SPF every morning.
  • If you have skin concerns, book a dermatologist or qualified skin therapist consultation now; treatments need time to work.

3 months before

  • Book regular facials if you enjoy them, and stick with the same therapist.
  • Introduce body exfoliation and moisturising, especially for shoulders and back if your dress is low-cut.

1 month before

  • Have your last new treatment. Don't try new products, peels or actives from now on.
  • Book any waxing or threading for the week before (not the day before).

The final week

  • Hydrate, sleep and eat well.
  • Gentle exfoliation a few days before; a hydrating mask the night before.
  • If you're tanning, have a practice run weeks ahead, then apply two to three days before the wedding.

On the morning

Keep skincare light and hydrating so makeup sits well. Your makeup artist will prep your skin, so let them know what you've used.

When should I have my last facial before the wedding?

About a week before, with a therapist you've seen before, so there are no surprises.
